Alaura's Easter Dress
I made my granddaughter Alaura a McCall's Pattern dress using material from Julie's stash of fabrics. Alaura chose a John Deer Pink Paisley for the main fabric. I added the plain pink and rose colored fabric for the skirt. She loves to swirl around her skirt and show all her friends.

Sept and Oct Craft Projects
I finished some knitted dishcloths with a basketweave design in denim and earth ombre color cotton. The knitted towel below is chocolate ombre cotton.
I plan to knit at least 10 or more dishcloths for the next 1852 Diggins in June.
These Daffodils were made from yarn and plastic canvas. They are one of my favorite flowers and fit perfectly in the container that my son Jeremy gave to me for a Mother's Day gift.

Knitted 1850's Bonnet & Sontag
This Grey & Navy knitted bonnet took only a month from Nov 22 to Dec 22. It is embellished with navy blue ribbons. It is nice and warm for winter events.
The Brown Alpaca knitted shawl Sontag took several months from July to Sept. It is triangular shaped and wraps around my waist with a front tie.

Stories in Stone Oct. in Columbia, CA
Stories-n-Stones
By: Rick Walters
It was a dark and rainy night,
(pause) IN A Graveyard.
That's right, in a graveyard.
The Spirits of old arose
to tell a tale of woe and a time long ago.
Of loved ones gone and things go'in on.
The stories of old soon were told
of the very young and the very old.
By the flickering of oil lamps,
the shadows all move as the
figures arose and their stories unfold.
By the flickering of light
the stories were told
one by one in the spirits abode.
Soon all had spoke,
and they left in peace.
All that remains
is the silence and the rain.
It was a dark and rainy night
in a graveyard I said.
